Faith’s Keen Vision
The little pen I carry in my wallet says, “to me to live is Christ.“ I want to make that pin not a rabbit’s foot or a talisman, but a reminder of a glorious reality.
Lord Jesus, make thyself to me
A living, bright reality;
More present to faith‘s vision keen
Than any outward object seen.

It is not fancy, it is fact. I have transferred my cares to him and he has taken over. This does not reduce me to an automaton, a robot. I have a will, and when it is merged with God’s will I have merged with the Almighty, shipwrecked on God and stranded on omnipotence—and what a good place to be stranded!
