More On the Way We’re Being Loved
Some of you may have noticed the recent post by Daniel Foucachon of the members of Christ Church and Trinity Reformed Church singing hymns to God outside our house last Sunday. It was an incredible blessing to my wife and our family to have them all there. They have asked if they can come back this Sunday as well. Who knew dying could be so glorious?
In a few of my recent posts, I’ve mentioned some of the other blessings that Christians in our community have showered on us. these have ranged from all our meals being provided since September, to our lawn being mowed every week, snow shoveled, cars washed, house cleaned, etc. One thing I forgot to mention is that a local cleaner, owned by one of our members, has been pressing my shirts since September, for free. Not only that, but I take the shirts to the office and someone from the cleaner comes by, picks them up, and then returns them to the office a few days later. And then, someone else brings them to our house and puts them in our entry closet. It’s like magic. I need a shirt, and poof!, the closet is full of them.
I thought I would take a moment to give you the cleaner’s address so you can take your laundry needs to them. You can look for them here, and here. They’re great folks and love Jesus. I know because they are loving me and my family. “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren” (1 Jn 3:14).
