When There Are No Words
A book I just finished. The subtitle is: “Finding your way to cope with loss and grief.” It gives good practical advice to those who are living in grief as well as good advice for those who are living with people who are experiencing grief.
The author is not an obvious Christian, he does mention God, but there isn’t a lot about hope and resurrection. On the other hand it is not filled with sappy sentimentalism either. It won’t make you feel guilty about not “doing it right.” Charlie’s goal, in fact, is to help us grieve in ways that fit us and our situation rather than to worry about “doing it right.” That’s a very helpful approach, I think.
I’m mentioning this book because there isn’t a lot out there on how to help someone who is grieving or how to think about your own grieving process.
If you are striving to be a godly Christian and your life with God is good, this book will be a good addition to your life adventure.
