Counseling-In-A-Week Coming in July

Everyone has a story. And everyone enjoys talking about their story. Stories are fun because they tell us about one another. We share our lives through our stories and we love one another through our stories — both listening and telling. But our stories do a lot more than share life events. They also reveal the contents of our heart. If our heart is filled with joy and peace, our stories will be filled with joy and peace. If our story  is full of bitterness and hopelessness it tells us that our hearts are full of emptiness and death.

Christians know that no one can please God unless we are living according to a cleansed heart. Understanding and then changing our hearts are very difficult processes. But with the kind and gentle help of a friend we can often, in and through Christ, have our lives changed. Our stories are the windows of opportunity God has given us to see and diagnose where our lives have gone off the rails. Jesus enters our lives as we lay them down, but this can only happen when we know that we are helpless without him. And we cannot understand our need for this help until we know how utterly helpless we really are.

Counseling-In-A-Week, called “Windows of Opportunity” teaches a method for naturally and easily moving from listening to a person’s story to helping him see into his heart. Through these windows of opportunity he is able to discover his need for the cleansing power of Jesus. Click on the picture below for more information.
